LiDAR Data Acquisition and Processing
Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) systems are new and increasingly useful tools in the geospatial world. As an innovative company, EDC has utilized the latest Airborne LiDAR device, ALS50II, to conduct LiDAR data acquisition and processing projects and research in China. In addition, EDC set up a LiDAR technology research and application center in collaboration with Wuhan University, which may greatly support and reinforce EDC in the LiDAR application sector.
EDC expanded its data production capacity for LIDAR by establishing a LIDAR Data processing Center in January, 2008. This center will start full capacity operation from April, 2008 to meet the growing international demand for LIDAR data production.
EDC provides the following services:
- Bare earth and canopy classifications
- Digital Terrain Model (DTM)
- Digital Surface Model (DSM)
- All required project metadata
